Social baking experience with 90-minute sessions where teams of two bake and decorate to a monthly theme, with the winning team getting the washing up.
The Big London Bake East is running from Saturday 24 October at Railway Arch 323, Under The Bridge, Lee Street, Haggerston, London E8 4ED, with sessions running daily. It's a social baking experience that doesn't ask for any prior experience, so you don't need to be a star baker to get involved. Each session lasts 90 minutes, and the format is a competitive challenge: teams of two bake and decorate to crown a winning pair. The head baker runs the show, and there's a new theme every month, with the winning team getting the washing up as their prize.
Inside the marquee, teams of two share one of twelve fully equipped baking stations, and both the ingredients and the aprons are provided, so you just need to turn up. Beyond the bake, the venue has a cake-inspired bar serving cake-themed cocktails and food, a heated drinks deck, a beer garden, and a private hospitality suite. The whole site is hireable for team away days, birthdays, and filming, so it works as a standalone spot for drinks and food even when you're not in the marquee.
