A creative workshop where adults create unique stained glass designs using provided materials in the Bittern Room at the WWT London Wetland Centre.
WWT London Wetland Centre is hosting a Stained Glass Workshop on Saturday 17 October, from 10:30 to 15:30, with a half-hour lunch break in the middle. It's held in the Bittern Room, so you'll be working inside the centre rather than out among the reeds.
The session is pitched at everyone from complete beginners to those who've had a go before, and all the materials and tools are provided on the day. You'll create your own stained-glass design, drawing on a choice of patterns to get you started — delicate insects, shining stars, and abstract forms are among them. You'll leave with a finished piece to take home and hang in a window, so it's a proper make-and-take rather than just a demonstration.

It's for adults aged 18 and over, and since it runs for five hours, it's more of a day's activity than a quick drop-in. The price is £70 for non-members, which includes admission to the centre, and £63 for members. Tickets are sold through Skiddle, and the whole thing takes place at the WWT London Wetland Centre, Queen Elizabeth's Walk, London, SW13 9WT.
