Family day at Fulham Pier with dog training sessions from Luke's Dog School, a free dog talent show, pet photography and a Woof About market.
Pier Pups takes over Fulham Pier on Sunday 25 October, a family day run in partnership with Woof About. It's built around dog training and pet photography rather than just walking the dog, so it's more of a proper day out with your pup than a casual stroll by the river. The whole thing runs from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Riverside Market, which you reach via the Thames Path from Stevenage Road.
The training sessions are led by Luke's Dog School and run throughout the day. They cover a fair bit of ground: kids and dogs safety, learning a trick, playing safely, and a slot for asking the trainer. There's also a dog talent show, and each ticket covers one adult, one child and one pup. Alongside that, a professional pet photography studio takes fifteen-minute family and pup portraits, and a Woof About Market stocks dog goods. The day rounds off at Riverside Market, home to Constance, Adam Byatt's seasonal modern British restaurant.

On the practical side, training tickets are £5.00 each, and the dog talent show is free though it needs booking. The photography sessions are £20.00. The pier closes for a handful of Fulham FC match days each year, so it's worth checking the date before you set off. It all happens at Riverside Market, Fulham Pier, Stevenage Road, London SW6 6HH, from 11:00 to 16:00.
