Weekly afternoon reggaeton fitness class for over-50s, part of the Haringey People Need Parks winter programme.
Reggaectivity kicks off at Sophia House on Monday 26 October, the start of a weekly series of afternoon classes for over-50s. It's part of People Need Parks, a Haringey council initiative built around the change of the seasons, designed to get residents ready for winter with a gentle workout that keeps them moving, encourages connecting with neighbours, and makes a good start to the new year. This particular strand is aimed at the over-50s, and the Reggaectivity sessions run as a weekly series of afternoon classes.
The first session is on 26 October, and from there it continues every Monday throughout November and December: 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 November, then 7, 14, 21, and 28 December. That's ten sessions in total, so if you can make a few a month, you've got a regular thing to look forward to right through the dark half of the year. Each one runs from 2.00pm to 3.00pm, a good time for a mid-afternoon stretch when the day is already starting to fade.
Sophia House is at 19 Antill Rd, London, Tottenham, N15 4AQ. It's in the heart of the borough, and if you're not from around here, it's worth remembering that Haringey is home to the iconic Alexandra Palace, known as 'The People's Palace', which offers panoramic views across the city.

Each session is £6, with a concessionary rate of £3 for those who qualify. You'll need an account and pre-booking to get a spot, so it's best to sort that early rather than turning up on the day. With the sessions running every Monday from 26 October through to 28 December, you can drop in for one or stick with it for the whole run.
