Practical GCSE revision day for 14-16 year olds who have studied Macbeth, with a tour of the Globe, a talk on Shakespeare's London and an interactive drama workshop.
Shakespeare's Globe is running a Macbeth GCSE Revision Boost on Saturday 24 October, and it's built for 14-16 year olds who've already studied the play. The whole thing is a practical day designed to deepen your understanding of the tragedy, so it's more about getting stuck in than sitting through another lecture.
The morning starts with a tour inside the Globe Theatre itself, followed by a talk on the history of Shakespeare's London and the theatrical world he built. After that, the group moves into one of the Globe's rehearsal studios for an interactive workshop led by an education practitioner. That's where the real work happens: you'll explore the play's language, characters and themes through acting techniques and drama activities, working through the text on your feet rather than just reading it off a page. The workshops are for young people coming independently, so it's a chance to work with others your own age. While the session is on, parents and guardians can make use of the Globe's food and drinks offer.

The day runs for two hours and forms part of the Globe's Young People programme, which also offers bursaries for those experiencing financial difficulties. It's one of several dates they've got scheduled across the season: 24 October 2026, 21 November 2026, 5 December 2026, 30 January 2027 and 6 March 2027. All of them are currently sold out, so if you're looking for a spot, you'll need to keep an eye on the official site for any cancellations. Tickets are £48, which includes a £3 order transaction fee, and the venue is at 21 New Globe Walk, Bankside, London SE1 9DT.
