Award-winning, child-friendly festive version of The Nutcracker by Let's All Dance Ballet Company, running under an hour with no interval.
Let's All Dance Ballet Company bring their version of The Nutcracker to the Lilian Baylis Studio on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, with matinees at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm both days. It's a festive production built for the very young, and it doesn't ask for a full afternoon: it runs for 55 minutes with no interval, so you're in and out in under an hour.
On stage, you'll find the Sugar Plum Fairy, the bouncy Jumping Jack and the Nutcracker Prince. The company specialises in high-quality, entrancing shows for young and family audiences, and they describe their mission as making ballet accessible to people of all backgrounds and cultures. This Nutcracker is a child-friendly take on the classic, and it's been well-received by the critics: The Guardian noted it left a young spectator with 'a look of wonderment and recognition', while The Observer called it a 'good-hearted and sweet version'.

One of the nicest touches is that audiences get to take a photo on stage with the professional dancers after the show, which is a great way to cap off the afternoon if you've brought the kids along. The Lilian Baylis Studio is part of Sadler's Wells Theatre on Rosebery Avenue, London EC1R 4TN, with Angel as the nearest tube station. Tickets start from £22.50, plus a £4.00 transaction fee.
