Live dance music set by the London duo Joy (Anonymous), blending house, disco and soul, at Hackney Church.
Joy (Anonymous) play Hackney Church on Saturday 31 October, their first London date since the start of the year. The duo — Henry Counsell and Louis Curran — are based here in the city, and their sound sits right in the middle of house, disco and soul. This one follows a sold-out residency they did at the Jazz Cafe earlier in 2026, so it's a return to London rather than a first visit.
They're bringing their full live set, built around the Joy (Anonymous) catalogue and new music from a forthcoming album. It's not just a run through the old stuff, then; you'll hear things they've been working on that haven't come out yet. The duo describes the night as something bigger than music, framing their work as creating shared experiences that uplift and connect people. That's a fair way to sum up the house and disco they're pulling from — music that works as much on a dancefloor as it does in a live room.
