One-to-one hour of bespoke sewing guidance with an experienced Hobbycraft colleague, suitable for ages 14 and over.
Hobbycraft is running a one-to-one sewing workshop at its Wimbledon store on Saturday 24 October, and it's a bit different from your usual craft class. Instead of a group following the same pattern, it's just you and an experienced Hobbycraft colleague for an hour, so the whole thing is built around whatever you actually want to work on.
That's the main draw here: the guidance is bespoke. You can send over the topics and areas you want to focus on before the session, so the colleague arrives prepared with a workshop tailored to you. If you've just bought a sewing machine and have no idea how to get it threaded or set up, that's a perfect place to start. If you're already sewing but there's a specific technique you've been struggling with, you can spend the full hour getting it sorted without having to wait for a group to catch up. It's as much about getting over a particular hurdle as it is about learning something new.
The session is open to anyone aged 14 and over, so it works for teenagers as well as adults. Because it's a one-to-one, you're not competing for attention, and you can go at your own pace. If you're a complete beginner, it's a low-pressure way to get comfortable with the machine; if you've been sewing for years, it's a chance to nail a specific skill you've been putting off.

It's a 60-minute session, and the cost is £28. They recommend booking at least four weeks in advance, so if you're eyeing the 24 October date, it's worth getting your name in sooner rather than later. The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, which gives you plenty of breathing room if your plans shift.
