Cider-making session for two with an expert host, a cheeseboard, different honeys and a demijohn to fill at home, for over-18s only.
Hiver in Bermondsey is running their cider making workshop for two on Sunday 25 October. It's a three-hour session, and since it's for two, it works as a date or a proper afternoon out with a friend. You'll be led through the whole thing by an expert host who walks you through the history of cider making and where the industry stands today, so you'll leave knowing a bit more about what's actually going into your glass.
While you're talking through the process, there's a cheeseboard to nibble on and a few different honeys to try. That honey is part of what Hiver does: they source from independent British beekeepers and give out bee-friendly seeds, and they pledge 10% of their profits to pollinator and green-space projects. It's a nice bit of context to have in the room while you're learning the craft.

The session is for over-18s only, and you don't leave empty-handed. You'll take home a tote bag containing a demijohn, two bottles to fill at home, and a 'how to' guide to keep you going once you're back in your own kitchen. It's £69 for the two of you, and the workshop runs on selected Saturdays from September through to March, so if this Sunday doesn't work, there are plenty more dates to choose from.
