Halloween edition of Neon Naked Life Drawing in which a model with UV-reactive body paint is sketched under blacklights by attendees using fluorescent art materials.
Neon Naked Life Drawing is back with a Halloween special at The Old Queen's Head in Angel on Monday 26 October. The session runs from 7:15 to 9:00 pm, with doors opening at 7:00 pm, so you've got a bit of time to settle in before the drawing starts.
It's a different beast from your usual life drawing class. The room is lit with blacklights, and the model is painted in UV-reactive body paint that glows under the lights. For this Halloween edition, they're leaning into the theme: the model will be decked out in haunting UV paint, gothic accessories and skeleton-inspired designs. You'll be working with fluorescent art materials provided on the night, so your sketches will glow right along with the model. A chilling Halloween soundtrack runs through the whole thing, and the organisers pitch it as a fun, welcoming session for beginners, couples and groups, so you don't need to be an artist to get stuck in.
