Over-18s gothic life drawing session in which participants sketch a live model decorated in dramatic corpse paint, with all materials provided.
Neon Naked Events are bringing a corpse paint life drawing session to The World's End in Camden on Tuesday 27 October, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The premise is straightforward: you spend the evening sketching a live model whose body is decorated in dramatic corpse paint, the kind of stark, high-contrast makeup associated with black metal, gothic and alternative aesthetics. It's a gothic-inspired take on a classic life drawing class, and the room is filled with a heavy metal and alternative soundtrack to set the mood.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is a hands-on activity, not a performance. You're there to draw, not just to watch. The focus is on observing the model and making quick studies rather than worrying about a finished piece, so it's more about the process than the result. You don't need any prior drawing experience to join in, and you don't need to bring your own kit either — all the materials, including paper and pencils, are provided for you. The poses are timed, which might be more useful if you've had a bit of practice, but it works just as well if you're picking up a pencil for the first time.

The session is for over-18s only and is wheelchair accessible. It's held at The World's End, a Camden Town landmark that also hosts concerts and shows, with a bar and food available on-site if you fancy a drink or a bite before or after. Tickets start from £19.50, and the whole thing runs from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday 27 October.
