Beginner flamenco fusion dance class led by Noemi from Movement Collective, with a yoga flow and tapas afterwards.
Movement Collective are back at FRAME Angel on Sunday 18 October with Flamenco, Flow & Flavours, an afternoon built around dancing, connecting, moving and tasting. It's aimed squarely at people with no prior experience, so you don't need to have ever stepped foot in a dance studio to fit in.
The session opens with tea or a cold refreshment to settle you in, then moves into a 30-minute energising yoga flow designed to clear the way for what comes next: a beginner flamenco fusion dance class taught by professional dancer and choreographer Noemi. The afternoon then settles into a communal area with tapas and refreshments, and optional wine, and it's open to all ages, so it works as much for a solo afternoon as it does for bringing along a few friends.
It's a slow-burn kind of session rather than a rush through a list of activities. You start with a drink, move through the yoga, get into the flamenco, and finish with food and conversation. The whole thing runs from 14:00 to 17:30 — three and a half hours in total — so there's plenty of room to actually settle into each part without feeling like you're being ushered from one thing to the next.
