Free dance workshop for children aged 2 to 4 and their parents or carers, led by professional dance artists at Sadler's Wells East.
Family Freestyle runs at Sadler's Wells East from 22 October to 17 December 2026, with sessions every Thursday morning at 10 am and 11 am. It's a dance workshop for children aged 2 to 4 and their parents or carers, led by professional dance artists on The Dance Floor at Sadler's Wells East.
Over the course of the sessions, the children explore a wide range of dance styles, and the focus is as much on what they're doing as on how they're developing. There's a real emphasis on coordination, creative thinking and social interaction, so it's less about getting a particular move right and more about letting them move and play. It's the kind of thing where you get to watch your little one figure things out in real time, and since it's a workshop, you're right there in the room with them.

Each session takes in up to two children accompanied by one adult, with a maximum of 30 participants in the room, so it stays a relatively small, manageable group rather than a huge class. The sessions run on Thursdays throughout the autumn, with two time slots to choose from — 10 am and 11 am — which makes it easy to fit around a morning routine. It's free for everyone, and you book your place online. The venue is Sadler's Wells East, at Stratford Walk, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 2AR, in Stratford.
