Zog and the Flying Doctors

Zog and the Flying Doctors comes to the Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Theatres from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 10 April 2027, playing in the Playhouse. It's a live musical based on the bestselling book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, from the same producers behind Zog and Stick Man.

The story follows the lovable dragon Zog, the fearless Princess Pearl and the trusty Sir Gadabout as they take to the skies to help creatures big and small. Along the way they come across a disco-loving Unicorn, a sneezy Lion and a sunburnt Mermaid. The King is initially sceptical that a princess can be a doctor, until he himself falls ill and only Pearl knows how to cure him. It's a production full of heart, hilarious songs and high-flying adventures, most suitable for ages 3 and over but welcoming audiences of all ages.

There are plenty of slots to choose from across the five days. It opens with a 4:30pm show on Tuesday 6 April, followed by double bills on Wednesday 7, Thursday 8 and Friday 9 April with performances at 10:30am and 1:30pm. It wraps up with a final 10:30am show on Saturday 10 April. Each performance runs for 60 minutes, so it's a manageable length for the smaller ones in the family. Tickets are £18.
