Open-air Christmas drone light show retelling Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, with fairground rides, face painting and food stalls at Aintree.
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: The Drone Light Show comes to Aintree Racecourse on Saturday 19 December, bringing the story of Rudolph to life with a swarm of drones that turn the night sky into a moving canvas. It's the first time the show is being presented in Liverpool, and the first time it's coming to the UK at all. The original is a long-running US holiday hit, and this version reimagines it as an open-air, narrated, multi-sensory experience set to a cinematic score.
The main show runs for 25 to 30 minutes, with the drones taking over the sky to tell the story. Around the show, the site gathers fairground rides, face painting and food stalls, so it's more of a full afternoon and evening out than just a quick look up. One thing to keep in mind: dogs aren't permitted on site, so you'll need to leave yours at home for this one.

Gates open at 2:00 pm, and the drone show itself is expected to start between 16:45 and 17:00, which puts it right around dusk. If the weather doesn't play ball, there are contingency dates on Monday 21, Tuesday 22 or Monday 30 December. Tickets range from free up to £76.95, and the whole thing is at Aintree Racecourse, Ormskirk Rd, Aintree, Liverpool L9 5AS.
