Mobile app murder mystery in which groups of two to eight become private investigators solving the high-profile murder of politician Chester Monte across Liverpool.
The Murder Mystery Adventure is running across Liverpool from 28 March to 31 December 2026, starting at 2A Derby Square, L2 9XW. It's an outdoor experience that turns you into a private investigator on a specific case: the murder of Chester Monte, an infamous politician and one of the highest-profile cases to hit the city in years. You'll spend the next couple of hours working through it, with a mobile app acting as your guide as you make your way through the streets.
The gameplay is built around a few different things. You'll be trekking through the city, cracking codes and interrogating virtual suspects to gather clues and evidence, all while the app keeps you on track. It's a self-guided thing, so you set the pace yourself. The whole experience takes around two hours from start to finish, and since it runs every day of the week, you can pick whatever morning or afternoon suits you best.
One of the better bits is that it works for groups of two to eight players, so it's as much for a couple of friends as it is for a larger family outing. It's suitable for children and dogs too, which means you can bring the whole lot along without having to leave anyone behind. If you've got a group that enjoys a bit of a puzzle and doesn't mind a walk around the city, it's a decent way to spend a few hours.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Liverpool and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
