World premiere Christmas light and sound experience with projections, music and storytelling across Liverpool Cathedral.
Luxmuralis are taking over Liverpool Cathedral from 27 November to 5 December with Noël, a Christmas light and sound experience that's having its world premiere here. It's a projection show that runs through the Christmas story, with the visuals paired with immersive music and storytelling across the Cathedral.
There's a second part to the installation, too: Constellation, a glowing piece made from thousands of stars, which is making its debut alongside Noël. So you've got the main show and a separate installation to see in the same visit.
It's worth keeping in mind what else is in the building. The Cathedral is more than just a landmark; it's a working place of prayer, worship and service, led by its Dean. It's home to the Grand Organ, the largest pipe organ in the UK, which is currently celebrating its centenary. There are also four paintings inspired by the parables of Jesus, two of them by the Glaswegian artist Adrian Wiszniewski and presented to the cathedral in 1996. Noël is the Christmas light and sound experience created by Luxmuralis, and it runs through the Christmas story with projections and immersive music.

Luxmuralis is the name behind the whole thing, and they're the ones who've put together both Noël and Constellation. The show runs from 27 November to 5 December at Liverpool Cathedral, so you've got a good window to fit it in before the Christmas break.
