A special market returns to the Cunard Building from Friday 23 October to Friday 30 October, with around 35 stalls of local independent traders taking up residence for eight nights. It's part of River of Light, which is now in its ninth year and runs from 23 October to 1 November. The market itself runs 4pm to 9pm daily, so it's an evening thing rather than a daytime one.
The market is one of several things to see across the waterfront and city centre during the festival. River of Light features a free light trail each evening, and this year's theme is 'Together', framing 13 artworks. One of them, Coloured Peonies, is inside the Cunard Building, so you can see it and the stalls in the same trip. The festival continues until 1 November, while the market wraps up on the 30th.
The venue is one of Liverpool's Three Graces, a Grade II* listed building on the waterfront. If you're not familiar with the inside, the building also runs behind-the-scenes tours that take you into the historic luggage room and the first-class safe. The market is free to enter, and you'll find it through the Strand entrance, with an accessible entrance on the Brunswick Street side.

Councillor Harry Doyle, Liverpool City Council's Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, said the market was extended this year after a three-night run the previous year, giving visitors a chance to buy from independent traders and perhaps pick up an early Christmas present. It runs from Friday 23 October to Friday 30 October, 4pm to 9pm daily, and it's free to enter.
