Financial literacy workshop on debt management presented by PNC Bank for seniors and adults at the Garfield Park Branch.
PNC Bank is hosting a Debt Management workshop at the Garfield Park Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, November 10, from 6 PM to 7 PM. It's part of their Community Financial Education Workshop program, and the session is aimed at seniors and adults.
If you're looking for a way to get a better handle on your finances, this is a good place to start. The workshop focuses on debt management, and because it's part of a larger community education program, it's designed to be accessible rather than overwhelming. It runs for an hour, so you can drop in after work and be home by 8.
The venue is the Garfield Park Branch, located at 2502 Shelby Street. It's a spot with a bit of history behind it: the library first occupied old School No. 34 back in 1918, and a new building went up at the current Shelby Street site in 1965. It reopened in 2011 after a major renovation, and that's when it took on the name Garfield Park Branchโa change made at the request of residents who wanted the library to share its name with the adjacent park.
