Live show by indie and psych rock band Post Animal, with special guest brotherkenzie, at Turntable in Broad Ripple.
Post Animal play Turntable on Friday, October 30, with Minnesota-based brotherkenzie opening. It's a general admission show, so there's no seating, though you can pay for a seating upgrade if you'd rather not stand the whole night.
Post Animal is coming off a breakout year that saw them play 51 sold-out arena and theater dates supporting Djo, a set at Lollapalooza, and a nearly sold-out U.S. headline tour. Their latest album, IRON, marks the first time the band's complete original songwriting lineup has been back in the studio together in nearly a decade; they wrote and recorded it during one uninterrupted month. Every member of the touring band contributes as a songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, and they describe their sound as a blend of psych rock, guitar-driven indie, folk, synth-pop, and classic rock. They've built their name on explosive live performances, so this is the version of the band you'll see on stage.
