A Halloween market with enchanting treasures, unique vendors and magic readers at Barras Art and Design Centre.
The Witches Cove Market takes over Barras Art and Design Centre (BAaD) on Sunday 1 November, a Halloween market in the East End. It's pitched as a day for witchy beginners and masters of magic alike, bringing together unique vendors selling enchanting treasures alongside talented readers offering one-to-one appointments.
If you're after a reading, it's worth sorting it early: you can pre-book by contacting your chosen reader directly, rather than leaving it to chance on the day. The market is listed as a Halloween, shopping and family event, so it's as much about browsing the stalls as it is about the readings.
BAaD itself is a good place to spend a Sunday afternoon. It sits in the heart of the Barras Market and works as a venue, studio, retail space and creative hub all in one. The building is a bit of a standout, with a spectacular covered courtyard and a glazed roof held up by pink steel arches. Inside, you'll find a tropical courtyard oasis, a floating restaurant and a sun-trapped container yard, so there's plenty to look at even when you're not browsing the market stalls.
