The return of The Stand's popular Sunday night show, bringing chilled, laid-back comedy earlier in the evening with headliner Kim Blythe.
The Sunday Service is back at The Stand Comedy Club on Sunday 6 December, one of the club's long-running Sunday night shows. It's a regular on their calendar, and this particular edition falls in the run-up to Christmas, so it's a good one to keep in mind if you're planning your December.
The whole thing is built around a specific vibe: chilled and laid-back comedy, brought forward to slightly earlier in the evening than the club's usual slots. The Stand pitches it as a way to get the most out of the dying embers of the weekend before work looms again at the start of the week. If you're not one for a late one on a Sunday, that's exactly the gap it's meant to fill.
As for the night itself, it runs for around 90 minutes, so you're in and out without it eating up your whole evening. It's strictly over-18s, which is worth keeping in mind if you're thinking of bringing anyone along. The club is at 420 Great Western Road, G4 9HZ, right in the West End of Glasgow.

If you've been to The Stand before, you'll know the room. It's a dedicated comedy space, so the focus is entirely on the stage. The Sunday Service is one of their regular nights, and this one lands on 6 December, so it's a Sunday evening in the city. If you're after something that doesn't run into the early hours, this is the one.
