Sex Pistols feat Frank Carter - Anarchy In The UK Tour

Sex Pistols feat Frank Carter play the O2 Academy Glasgow on Thursday 10 December, part of a nine-date run they're calling the Anarchy In The UK Tour - Celebrating 50 Years of Punk. It's a tour marking half a century of punk, and Glasgow is one of the stops alongside Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Bristol and London.

On stage, you'll find three original members of the Sex Pistols — Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock — joined by Frank Carter on vocals. Carter is billed as one of the closest things to the original punk experience; he recreates the Pistols' songs while remaining himself, his dynamic presence and authentic delivery blending with the band's raw energy. Kerrang! called it 'the injection of fresh blood, and fresh energy, centre-stage' that makes the Pistols cohere as a complete unit.

So, the original rhythm section and lead guitar are back together, with Carter taking over the front. It's a specific way of bringing those songs back to life rather than a tribute act, with the original members providing the foundation and Carter bringing his own energy to the front. If you've followed the band's history, you'll recognise the names; if you're just coming for the songs, that's what you'll hear.

Doors open at 19:00 at the O2 Academy Glasgow, 121 Eglinton Street, with a curfew of 23:00. The show is part of the Anarchy In The UK Tour - Celebrating 50 Years of Punk, and Glasgow is one of nine dates on the run.
