Sophie Duker, Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee, brings her 2027 stand-up tour Hot Beef Injection to The Stand.
Sophie Duker brings her new stand-up hour, Hot Beef Injection, to The Stand in Glasgow on Wednesday 28 April 2027. It's part of her 2027 tour, and if you've caught her on TV lately, you'll know her as a Taskmaster champion. Before that, she was an Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee, and she still describes herself as a retired sugar daughter.
Hot Beef Injection is a full hour of new material that sits somewhere between the sexy and the political. She spends a good chunk of it on hypermasculinity, heavy-handed handymen, and the 'Would You Rather: Man or Bear?' question that's been doing the rounds lately. It's the kind of set that doesn't shy away from the messy side of things, and the title gives you a fair idea of the tone.
There's a bit of a track record behind it, too. The Guardian called her work smart, purposeful and very funny; The Scotsman said she owns the stage with charm and assurance; and The Skinny described her as a comedic powerhouse. If you've seen her before, this is a fresh hour rather than a best-of, so it's new ground regardless of how well you know her style.

One thing to keep in mind: the show is strictly for over-18s, so don't bring anyone under that. It's at The Stand on Wednesday 28 April 2027, and you can find tickets and more details on their website.
