Christmas escape room in which teams of up to four have 30 minutes to solve puzzles and collect 40 Gold Stars from Santa.
The Elf Trials return to Nomad Escape Rooms from 14 November 2026 through to 31 January 2027, bringing back the Christmas-themed challenge that runs for a good chunk of the festive season. It's a fast-paced puzzle race: your team has 30 minutes to solve as many puzzles as possible and collect Gold Stars from Santa. The clock is the main thing here, so it's more about how much you can get through in half an hour than whether you 'escape' in the traditional sense.
If you did it last year, the format is the same, but the puzzles are mostly different. A few fan favourites have returned, and the total number of stars has been upped to 40, so there's a bit more to go for this time around. It's a short session, which makes it an easy one to slot in around Christmas plans without taking up a whole afternoon.
Nomad Escape Rooms is run by industry veterans and built by award-winning game designers, and they describe themselves as Glasgow's ultimate escape room destination, with live actors in some of their games. The Elf Trials itself earned a place among the top 100 escape rooms in the UK despite only running for two months, so it's a proven one.
