A festive pop-up wellness experience combining a holistic facial massage with a candle-lit gentle vinyasa yoga and meditation session, finishing with a festive fizz.
Yoga In The Dark is taking over St Brides Episcopal Church on Friday 4 December, from 7pm to 10pm. It's a festive pop-up wellness session held inside the church, which is a listed Victorian landmark in the West End, just off Byres Road. The whole evening is built around two distinct halves, one for the face and one for the body, and it's all set within the church's candle-lit interior.
The night starts with a hybrid facial massage led by Clare (@onlyhumanuk), who combines acupressure with gua sha—the smooth stone tools you've probably seen on social media—to work through the tension we all carry in our jaws and foreheads. From there, the focus shifts to the mat for a gentle vinyasa yoga flow and meditation led by Scarlett (@catcowenergy), both conducted by candlelight. The two parts are designed to run one after the other, so you move from the facial ritual straight into the yoga and meditation without having to leave the room. Once the session wraps up, there's a festive fizz of prosecco or Nosecco to finish on.
