Regular behind-the-scenes tours of the Glasgow Museums Resource Centre, allowing visitors to explore the stores and discover highlights from the 1.4 million treasures held there.
The Glasgow Museums Resource Centre runs behind-the-scenes tours every Wednesday afternoon, from 19 November 2025 through to 23 December 2026. They start at 2:30pm and last about an hour, so it's a mid-week thing that doesn't take up your whole day.
The GMRC isn't a museum in the usual sense. It's the stores where the city's collections are kept, and these tours take you inside the building and into those stores. You'll see the space itself and some of the highlights from the 1.4 million treasures held there. Because they're weekly, different sessions show you different areas of the collections, so if you go more than once, you'll see something new each time.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Glasgow and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
