HBO and Netflix star Ahir Shah brings his new stand-up show Golden to The Stand Comedy Club.
Ahir Shah brings his new stand-up show Golden to The Stand Comedy Club on Saturday 25 September 2027, at 7:00pm. It's a rescheduled date, moved from 12 March, so if you'd already got it in your calendar for the spring, this is the one to keep hold of.
Shah is an HBO and Netflix stand-up whose previous show, Ends, won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show, sold out worldwide and was recorded as a Netflix special. He's also behind Ahir Shah: Dots on HBO. Outside of his own shows, he's appeared in Jurassic World 3 and Foundation on Apple TV, and has been a regular on Richard Osman's House of Games (BBC2), The Last Leg (C4), The Mash Report (BBC2), Frankie Boyle's New World Order (BBC2) and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), as well as Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You and QI.
The critics have been generous. Stephen Armstrong called him 'the most important stand-up of the year, if not decade', while The Daily Telegraph described him as 'a blazing talent'. The Scotsman put him down as 'destined to be one of the brightest stars in the British comedy firmament' and The Guardian called him 'a sophisticated comedian with an elegant, eloquent style'.
