The Darts bring their garage punk show back to Scotland at The Cabaret Voltaire, with a 14+ age restriction.
The Darts bring their US-born garage-punk back to Scotland on Wednesday 4 November, playing The Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh's Old Town. They describe the live show as a 'garagepunkrockin' onslaught', and the name does a fair bit of the heavy lifting there: it's loud, fast, and built around a high-energy stage presence that's won over critics and fans in equal measure.
There are some big names behind the praise. Dave Vanian of The Damned called them 'one of my new favourite bands', and Jello Biafra, formerly of the Dead Kennedys, singled out their 'Manzarek-level organ wizardry' alongside Laurenne's performance, which he described as a tour-de-force. Rolling Stone said they 'get even the most apathetic nerds moshing', and Vive Le Rock rated them 'best of 2024'. If you're not familiar with them, that's the sound in a nutshell: punk energy with a heavy organ presence and a live show that's hard to stand still for.
