Van Morrison plays the Usher Hall with a live band and backing singers, headlining his 2026-27 tour.
Van Morrison plays Usher Hall on Tuesday 3 November, part of his 2026-27 tour. He'll be on stage with a live band and backing singers, and the set draws heavily from his own catalogue: 'Into the Mystic', 'Moondance', 'Green Green Rocky Road', 'Goin' Down Geneva / Brand New Cadillac' and 'Real Real Gone' are all in the mix.
It's a tour that follows a big year for the Northern Irish singer-songwriter. This spring he picked up a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jazz FM Awards, and in January he put out Somebody Tried To Sell Me A Bridge, a return to the blues with fresh takes on songs by B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Lead Belly, issued on vinyl for the first time as a deluxe double LP. Over the summer he played several major European festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, and opened for Neil Young at BST Hyde Park in London.

Alongside his own songs, the set includes a wide range of blues and R&B covers, from John Lee Hooker and Sonny Boy Williamson to Gene Vincent, Louis Jordan and Sam Cooke. The Edinburgh date is sold out, so if you're looking for tickets you'll be relying on resales. The show starts at 18:30 at Usher Hall on Lothian Road.
