Stand-up comedy show Howling at the Moon by Christopher Macarthur-Boyd, a sell-out Fringe 2025 show now on his 2026 UK tour.
Christopher Macarthur-Boyd brings Howling at the Moon to The Royal Lyceum Theatre on Sunday 15 November, 8pm. It's a stand-up show he describes as nocturnal, grappling with neurodivergence, sexuality and lunacy, and drawing on his love life, grief and nostalgia. It's the same show that sold out its entire run at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe, where it was named one of the Best Reviewed Edinburgh Shows before heading out on a 2026 UK tour. This Lyceum date is billed as his biggest solo show outside of Glasgow.
If you haven't come across his name yet, you've likely heard of the people he works with. He co-hosts the Here Comes The Guillotine podcast alongside Frankie Boyle and Susie McCabe, and has appeared in the comedy specials Oh No and Scary Times. He hosted the BBC New Comedy Award and appeared in Scotland Stands Up and Frankie Boyle's New World Order, and has opened for Kevin Bridges, Shane Gillis, Kerry Godliman, Jason Manford and David Cross. Critics have called him chief among Scotland's young comics, with one review naming Howling at the Moon the gold standard of Scottish stand-up.
