Weekly night of live stand-up comedy with some of Scotland's best comedians at The Canons' Gait on Canongate.
The Comedy Cellar is running a stand-up night at The Canons' Gait on Tuesday 27 October, and they're keeping it going through the rest of the week too. If Tuesday doesn't work, the same thing is on Wednesday 28, Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October, so there are four nights to choose from rather than just one.
It's a straightforward stand-up bill: a curated line-up of comedians taking turns on stage. The Comedy Cellar describes the room as being for anyone after a session of curated laughs and sharp wit from seasoned performers, and they book some of Scotland's best comedians for audiences of comedy fans and stand-up enthusiasts. Because it's a curated night rather than a random open mic, you're getting a set of acts put together with a specific evening in mind, not just whoever happens to turn up.
That's the core of what they do here: live stand-up comedy every night of the week, with a rotating line-up that changes from one show to the next. If you're a regular, you can come back on different nights and see a different set of comedians each time. If you're just in for one, you've got four dates to pick from across the end of October.

All the shows start at 8:00 PM at The Canons' Gait, 232 Canongate, in the heart of the Old Town. Tickets start from £13.47, so it's a mid-week night out that doesn't break the bank. With four dates on the run, you can pick the one that fits your schedule best.
