Weekly underground stand-up show hosted by Michael Porter with Irish, Scottish and international comics at The Canons Gait on the Royal Mile.
The Comedy Cellar is running at The Canons Gait on the Royal Mile, and it's a seven-night-a-week fixture, so you've got plenty of options. The show is part of The Good, The Bad & The Irish, a brand of raw, alternative comedy with a rebellious edge and a rotating line-up of Irish, Scottish and international comics. It's hosted by the Irish comic Michael Porter, and it's built a following as a Fringe favourite that keeps going year-round, pairing curated laughs with seasoned performers.
Because it runs every night, you can pick the slot that suits you. The standard show is at 8pm daily, but there are afternoon shows at 3pm on the weekends and late shows at 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights. It's billed as the only five-star rated stand-up on the Mile, and it's tucked away in the underground space at The Canons Gait, 232 Canongate, Edinburgh Old Town EH8 8DQ.

With a rotating line-up, the comics change from night to night, so it's not the same set every time you go. The mix draws from Irish, Scottish and international acts, and the whole thing is held together by Michael Porter. If you're looking for a night of stand-up in the Old Town, you've got the choice of an 8pm weekday, a 3pm weekend matinee, or a 10pm late show on Friday or Saturday.
