Screening of Sidney Lumet's 1976 media satire 'Network' with English descriptive subtitles at the Grassmarket Picture House, with all ticket income supporting the venue.
Network (1976) is screening at the Grassmarket Community Project on Wednesday 25 November, from 7pm to 9pm. It's a Sidney Lumet film, and if you haven't seen it, it's a media satire about a news anchor who threatens to take his own life live on air, carried by a stellar cast. It's the kind of thing that feels just as sharp now as it did when it first came out.
The screening is presented by the Grassmarket Community Project's community cinema, the Grassmarket Picture House, and all ticket income goes directly to supporting it. The film is certified 15 for strong language, violence and sex, and it's shown with English descriptive subtitles. It starts promptly at 7pm without trailers, so if you're running a few minutes late, you'll miss the opening.
