Political comedian and satirist Matt Forde brings his stand-up show 'Project Holy Moly' to The Royal Lyceum Theatre.
Matt Forde brings Project Holy Moly to The Royal Lyceum on Friday 2 July 2027, the Edinburgh stop of a nationwide tour that runs from 19 March to 4 July. It's a one-hour show, and the Edinburgh date falls right at the end of the run.
Forde is one of Britain's leading political comedians and satirists, and he's a regular at The Royal Variety Performance. He's also a voice behind Spitting Image, Have I Got News For You, British Scandal and The Matt Forde Focus Group. Since he launched his Political Party podcast in 2013, he's brought Parliament to life through stand-up and debate with figures like Keir Starmer, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and Nicola Sturgeon, and the podcast has amassed more than 14 million downloads. He also co-hosts the British Scandal and Down The Dog podcasts and presents Absolute Radio's Rock 'n' Roll Football Show, having previously hosted four series of Unspun with Matt Forde on Dave.
Project Holy Moly finds him seeking joy amid domestic and global political turmoil, a rising tide of populism and his own ongoing health challenges several years after a bone cancer diagnosis. The Daily Telegraph gave it five stars, calling it a 'laugh-a-minute' show.
