Lucy Beaumont brings her stand-up show of misadventures, from Taskmaster and The Great British Sewing Bee to Celebrity Traitors, to The Queen's Hall.
Lucy Beaumont brings her new show, Bad At Quiz Shows, Good With Weirdos, to The Queen's Hall on Thursday 11 March 2027. It's her first Edinburgh date since her debut UK tour, The Trouble And Strife, which played to sell-out crowds. This one is presented by Land Of Green Ginger Productions Ltd.
Beaumont has built a reputation for turning everyday disasters into comedy, and the title of the show gives you a fair idea of where she's coming from. Much of her material is drawn from real-life misadventures: losing a contestant £79,000 on The Wheel, forgetting to revise for Mastermind, going into hiding after Celebrity Traitors, and making cow-udder couture on The Great British Sewing Bee. She's also spoken publicly about her ADHD diagnosis and her divorce, so the stories pull from a few different parts of her life. The show is described as packed with chaotic brilliance, mayhem and surreal storytelling.
If you're coming from the TV side of things, she's one of the UK's most recognisable comedians, first gaining a wider following through Taskmaster and her award-winning sitcom. This is stand-up, though, and it's built on the kind of storytelling that makes her a natural fit for the stage. The new tour follows the success of The Trouble And Strife, so this is her returning to the road with a fresh set.
