Independent book festival with author talks and Q&As, stalls from small businesses and crafty creators, and signed books.
The Literary Escape Festival returns to Ps & Gs Church on Saturday 14 November, back in Edinburgh a year after its first run across the UK. It's an independent book festival, and this date marks the organiser's first birthday, so the day is built around independent authors, creative makers and small businesses. It's a celebration of books, creativity and all things independent.
On the day, you can meet authors and get your favourite books signed, and browse stalls of treasures from small businesses and crafty creators—handmade bookmarks, cosy candles, and handmade gifts. The programme includes author talks and Q&As, with sessions hosted by Laura Barnet of The Secret Book Swap and authors Caroline Young, Alex Howard, Naomi Johnson and Catriona Silvey. The festival is supported by The Book Whisperers as sponsor and Streetreads as charity partner.
