Crime writers A.C. Glass and Jack Jewers discuss their thrillers 'The Hiding Season' and 'Seething Lane' and the art of spying through the centuries.
A.C. Glass and Jack Jewers are in conversation at Waterstones on Princes Street on Tuesday 27 October, from 7pm to 8pm. They'll be talking through their respective thrillers, The Hiding Season and Seething Lane, and the evening is billed as a discussion of the art of spying across the centuries.
Glass's The Hiding Season follows Maya Landry, a caretaker at an exclusive Montana ski resort who becomes the sole witness to a murder. Jewers's Seething Lane opens in London in January 1670, where Samuel Pepys investigates the brutal murder of a libertine aristocrat and becomes entangled in the world of the theatre. Jewers, author of the critically acclaimed The Lost Diary Of Samuel Pepys, reimagines one of Britain's greatest historical figures through a 21st-century lens. Between the two, they'll be drawing a thread of espionage from 17th-century London to a modern Montana ski resort.
