Kavus Torabi

Kavus Torabi plays The Voodoo Rooms on Monday 19 April 2027, starting at 8:00pm. It's a rescheduled date, moved from 18 October 2026, so if you'd already marked the original autumn slot in your diary, this is the one to keep.

Torabi is a British musician and composer who works across psychedelic and avant-garde rock. He fronts his own band, Knifeworld, and has played in Gong, Guapo and Cardiacs, and was previously associated with The Monsoon Bassoon. He's a multi-instrumentalist, and this is a headline show under his own name, so he'll be the main focus of the night.

Beyond the stage, he runs the boutique record label Believers Roast and co-presents The Interesting Alternative Show with Steve Davis, a platform that champions new experimental, avant-garde and underground music. If you've come across his name through the label or the show, this is a chance to hear him playing live.

The gig is at The Speakeasy at the Voodoo Rooms, 19a West Register Street, Edinburgh EH2 2AA, with Torabi as the sole name on the bill. It starts at 8:00pm on Monday 19 April.
