Veteran crooner Tony Christie plays an intimate 'Up Close & Unplugged' set of his hits on his Great Farewell 'Unplugged' Tour.
Tony Christie plays The Voodoo Rooms on Monday 30 November, part of his Great Farewell 'Unplugged' Tour. It's an 'Up Close & Unplugged' set that reaches back across his career, from the big one, 'Is This The Way To Amarillo', through 'Avenues & Alleyways', 'Walk Like A Panther', 'Las Vegas', 'I Did What I Did For Maria', 'Solitaire', 'Happy Birthday Baby' and 'Thank You For Being A Friend'. He also works in covers of the late greats who shaped his singing.
Christie is a veteran Yorkshire crooner, and this Edinburgh date is billed as one of his intimate 'Up Close and Personal' shows. He doesn't stop here, either: he plays Glasgow on 1 December and Aberdeen on 2 December, so he's working his way across Scotland over a few days. There's a new album to go with it, A New Life, recorded in Nashville, which re-imagines his biggest hits and fan-favourite album tracks in a country style.
