Stand-up comedy show with Irish comedian Jimeoin from Australia, part of his 23-date tour.
Jimeoin brings his Ballyhoo! tour to the King's Theatre on Sunday 14 March 2027, with the show starting at 7.30pm. It's a stand-up comedy night with Jimeoin as the sole bill, and the Edinburgh date is one of 23 on the tour.
If you haven't come across him before, Jimeoin is an Irish comedian from Northern Ireland who's made Australia his home. He's built a huge following there, and his online comedy clips have been viewed by hundreds of millions of people. On television, he's appeared on Live at the Apollo and The Royal Variety Performance, so he's well-versed in the big-stage format. Critics have called him a 'joke-maestro' and a 'comic dynamo', and he's known for his observational humour.
His style is described as cheeky and no-gimmicks, relying on the material rather than props or stunts. He's often billed as a stand-up comedy legend and a genuine figure of the stage, hailed globally as one of live comedy's masters. The observational side is what he's most celebrated for — the kind of comedy that finds the funny in the everyday things we all recognise.
