Irish comedian Jarlath Regan brings new material to Edinburgh with his stand-up show 'Craic Pot' at the Assembly Roxy.
Jarlath Regan brings his new show, Craic Pot, to the Assembly Roxy on Saturday 15 May 2027. It's a 90-minute set, and the Edinburgh date is one of only five on the tour, so it's one of the few chances to catch him in the city this run around.
Regan is billed as Ireland's favourite comedian and Mammy translator, and that second part tells you a fair bit about where he comes from. He's built a huge following on viral online sketches and razor-sharp observations of Irish life, and he's coming to Edinburgh after sell-out tours worldwide. If you've come across his clips, you'll know the thing he does best: taking the specific, domestic rhythms of an Irish household and stretching them until they're funny to anyone who's ever had a mother. It's that kind of storytelling that's carried him from the internet to the stage.
He's also written a book, Gobshite Guidebook, which spent 2025 and 2026 as the number one best-selling humour book in Ireland. Critics have called him a comedy genius and an expert storyteller, and the show itself is described as making audiences cry with laughter. Craic Pot is brand-new, never-before-seen material, so it's not a retread of the old stuff.
