Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Catherine Bohart brings her new stand-up show, 'Borrowing Trouble', to the Assembly Roxy.
Catherine Bohart brings her new show, Borrowing Trouble, to Assembly Roxy on Thursday 12 November, starting at 7.30pm. It's a stand-up set from a comedian who's spent the last few years becoming a bit of a household name on the telly, and this is her latest piece of writing on the road.
If you've only caught her on screen, there's a fair bit to go on. She's appeared on Live at the Apollo, QI, The Last Leg, Mock the Week, The Mash Report, The News Quiz, and Last One Laughing Ireland, and she has her own Amazon Prime special, Immaculate. She also co-hosts the podcasts Tonsil Hockey and Trusty Hogs. She was an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee in 2024, so she's well-acquainted with the city's comedy scene.
Borrowing Trouble is a new show that turns on her birthright, and she describes it as a night of sharp comedy and personal storytelling. It follows her previous show, Again, With Feelings, which picked up a fair amount of praise along the way: The Guardian called it a "firecracker hour" and "her best yet", Chortle noted she was "a stand-up in such command of her material... a real delight", The Scotsman found it "cynically hilarious", and The Times weighed in too. Bohart herself bills Borrowing Trouble as her best show yet.

It's a single-act night, so it's just her on stage for the full set. The show runs at Assembly Roxy, 2 Roxburgh Place, Edinburgh Old Town EH8 9SU, on Thursday 12 November, with the curtain going up at 7.30pm.
