A joyful, immersive piece of physical comedy blending circus and live music, designed for young people with complex additional support needs and their families.
Gaggle comes to the Studio Theatre on Saturday 24 October, with two shows that afternoon at 2pm and 4pm, and two more on Sunday 25 October at 11am and 12.30pm. It's a joyful, immersive piece of physical comedy that blends circus and live music, put on by Tenterhooks.
On stage are four people: three playing lighthouse keepers and one musician. The show follows the keepers across three days and three nights, with a 3.5-metre circus pole as a central feature. The performers respond in real time to audience input, so no two shows turn out the same. Each one runs 35 minutes with no interval, and is followed by a circus pole workshop for one family at a time.
It's made especially for young people with complex additional support needs (ASN) and their families. It's non-verbal and highly sensory, with minimal language, and presented as a relaxed performance suitable for non-verbal, Deaf, and non-English speaking audiences, and children aged 5+. The team behind it also made MESS.
