Musical comedy double act Flo & Joan bring their UK tour show 'With Feeling' to the Assembly Roxy.
Flo & Joan are back at Assembly Roxy on Saturday 28 November, their first Edinburgh date since 2024. The show is called With Feeling, and it's part of a 2026 UK tour that runs to more than 50 dates.
For those who haven't seen them, Flo & Joan are sisters Nicola and Rosie Dempsey, a multi-award-winning double act whose comedy sits right at the intersection of music and stand-up. They've appeared on Live at the Apollo, The Royal Variety Performance, and Comic Relief's Red Nose Day Live 2023, and they recorded their own comedy special, Alive on Stage, for Amazon Prime. The Guardian named them the #1 Comedy Show of 2024, and Rolling Stone called them "truly exceptional."
With Feeling came about in a rather odd way: they took a real band's setlist and built the whole show around it. From there, they spent the rest of the time ruminating on questions like "What is music?", "How do you be a band?" and "Is comedy music?" ā all delivered in the sharp-tongued, deadpan style that's become their trademark. It's a show that spends as much time thinking about the act of performing as it does performing, and it's exactly that kind of thing they're known for.
