Bi-weekly choir session by trans people for trans people, open to anyone aged 16 and over, at LGBT Health and Wellbeing.
Edinburgh Trans Choir meets at LGBT Health and Wellbeing on Thursday 29 October, from 18:15 to 20:30. It's a relaxed, bi-weekly choir run by trans people for trans people, open to anyone aged 16 and over. The group meets every other Thursday evening at the venue, and the next session after this one is 12 November.
What happens there is straightforward: singers pick up trans-friendly vocal exercises and sing together in a safe environment. You don't need to know how to read music, and there's no long-term commitment required. Singers of all levels and backgrounds are welcome, and you can come and go as you like, so it works whether you're looking for a regular spot or just fancy dropping in for a few sessions. The choir is led by community members with support from LGBT Health and Wellbeing, and you can find them on Instagram at @edinburghtranschoir.
