Callum Beattie

Callum Beattie is playing The Edinburgh Playhouse on Thursday 26 November, with the show starting at 19:00. It's a stand-up set, just him on stage, and tickets start from £35.

If you're not already familiar with the venue, the Playhouse is at 18-22 Greenside Place, EH1 3AA. It's a Category A listed building that opened back in 1929 as a grand super-cinema, modelled on New York's Roxy Cinema, and it's since become Scotland's largest theatre. It holds 3,059 people and hosts a wide range of touring musicals, concerts and comedy acts, and it's a regular spot for the Edinburgh International Festival and the Fringe, so it's well-used throughout the year.

Beattie is the sole name on the bill, so the whole night is his. It's a stand-up show in the traditional sense: one person, a microphone, and a room full of people. With the Playhouse being as big as it is, it'll be a proper crowd for a comedy night, rather than a small club set.

Tickets start from £35, and the show kicks off at 19:00 on Thursday 26 November at The Edinburgh Playhouse, 18-22 Greenside Place, EH1 3AA.
