Allan Stewart returns to the King's Theatre with a night of comedy, music and special guests.
Allan Stewart is back at the King's Theatre from 23 to 27 March 2027, with Allan Stewart's Big Big Variety Show. It's a short run of five days, so you've got a few different slots to choose from rather than just one night. The evening shows start at 7.30pm, and there are matinees at 2.30pm, which is handy if a late night doesn't suit you. The whole thing runs for two hours, with an interval in the middle to stretch your legs.
As the title suggests, it's a variety show, and Stewart is the main draw. He's billing it as a night of comedy, music and very special guests, so the set will move between the two rather than sticking to one. The guests are kept under wraps for now, but they'll be sharing the stage with him throughout. It's a return to the King's for him, and he's keeping the format broad enough to fit a few different moods into one evening.
There's a bit of a track record to go on here. Critics have called the show 'entertainment epitomised', and The Scotsman wrote that he 'gives the theatre a huge hug with an evening of song and story that is sure to brighten the global gloom'. That gives you a fair idea of the tone: it's a mix of music and storytelling, and it's meant to be an uplifting night out rather than a tight stand-up set.
