Reading group meeting of the Bonanza Non-fiction Book Club to discuss Andrew Ross Sorkin's book '1929: Inside the Crash'.
The Bonanza Non-fiction Book Club meets at the Blue Blazer on Tuesday 27 October, with Andrew Ross Sorkin's 1929: Inside the Crash as the book of the night. It's a New York Times bestseller and is billed as the definitive history of the 1929 stock market crash, written by the same author who wrote Too Big to Fail.
If you're not familiar with the group, Bonanza is a small, informal non-fiction book club that meets around 8pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. They cover a wide range of subjects β art, biography, psychology, ecology, politics, science, history and philosophy β so the reading list changes quite a bit from one session to the next. This one lands on the history side of things, with the 1929 crash as the focus.
There's a bit extra on the table this time, too: alongside the main discussion, the session includes a bonus morsel from Anton JΓ€ger's Hyperpolitics: Extreme Politicization without Political Consequences. If you're coming for the Sorkin book, it's a nice addition to the mix.

The meeting is at the Blue Blazer, 2 Spittal St, and kicks off around 20:00. If you're interested in the 1929 crash and fancy talking it through with a small group, that's the one.
