Paint-and-sip class with a spooky 'The Visitor' theme, with a DIY soy candle add-on, at Pinot's Palette Short North.
Pinot's Palette in the Short North is hosting The Visitor on Thursday, October 29, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's part of their ongoing Paint and Sip series, and this particular session is built around a spooky nighttime visitor theme. The studio describes it as a delightfully eerie experience aimed at fans of the strange, the spooky, and the unexplained, so it fits right into the Halloween season.
If you've never done a paint-and-sip before, here's how it works: a talented instructor guides you step by step through the painting, and you don't need any prior experience to follow along. You bring your own drinks and snacks to keep you going throughout the evening. The studio provides aprons to protect your clothes, but keep in mind that acrylic paint doesn't wash out once it sets, so wearing something you don't mind getting a bit of paint on is a smart move.
There's also a DIY candle add-on available for $25. It's a custom-scented, all-natural soy candle that you pour before the class starts, and while your paint is drying, the candle sets. By the time you're done, you walk out with two handmade creations instead of one. The whole night is tagged as a DIY party and a Halloween event, so it works as a solo outing or as a way to get some creative energy going with a group before the holiday hits.
